Background: Ovarian mucinous cystadenomas are classically considered as ‘non-functional’ tumors. Cystadenomas are among the most common benign ovarian neoplasms. Compared with serous cystadenomas, mucinous cystadenomas occur less frequently, are more often unilateral and can attain an enormous size.
